Le Hamel is a traditional French farmhouse situated in a rural hamlet of Domjean, a 10 minute drive from the small country town of Torigni-sur- Vire. Domjean has a baker, a mini supermarket, an excellent restaurant, a minigolf course, and a chocolate factory in the nearby village of Moyon.

Torigni boasts a weekly market (Monday) as well as larger shops, more eating places and a Champion & Lidles supermarket.
